On Tuesday, May 30th, EMYC celebrated it’s seventh AGM. And it truly was a celebration—a celebration of the legacy of past leaders we are building on and the legacy being forged by the young leaders of today.
Beginning with an amazing video that shared the story of 2016 from the perspective of program participants, we reflected on what was truly a monumental year for EMYC.
It was an honour to welcome Lekan Oliwaye from the MaRS Discovery District as our guest speaker, inspiring us with the opportunity we all have to leave a legacy. We were also pleased to welcome Peter Hartmans from the United Church of Canada as we passed new by-laws and formally established ourselves as an independent entity.
And, it was an incredible honour to welcome each of our former board chairs and executive directors since incorporation—and to celebrate the legacy of their vision and leadership that established the foundation of what EMYC is becoming today.
